Dr. Melissa Webb Duthu,
I grew up in Metairie and have strong ties to the community. I am a graduate of John Curtis Christian School. I attended John Curtis from kindergarten through the 12th grade. I received my bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from LSU in 2003. I completed my Masters in Communication Disorders from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in May 2005, shortly before Hurricane Katrina. I returned to school in 2009 shortly after my wedding and completed my Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida in April 2011.
My great grandmother was hearing impaired and I always knew I wanted to help people, that is what made me want to get into the field. I chose to set up my practice in this area because I grew up around here.
I currently reside in Metarie with my husband, David, and our son, Luke. We have two dogs, Peanut and Bella, and a cat, Calli.

I am from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I was a LSU tiger fan my whole life and attended Louisana State University from 2010-2014. I graduated in May of 2014 with a bachelor of arts degree in Communication Disorders. In August of 2015, I moved to New Orleans to pursue my Doctorate of Audiology at LSU Health and Sciences. I will graduate in May of 2018. I am gaining hands on experience from Dr. Melissa here at NOLA Hearing while enjoying everything that New Orleans has to offer!
